Working towards redefining
the outcomes of brain cancer

Nancy was diagnosed through an incidental finding in Fall 2016 and underwent surgery, radiation, and treatment. After being fortunate to make a tremendous recovery following treatment, she resumed her motto of “Live, Love, Laugh”. With her energy back, she pursued some of her true passions including helping others, endless walks (often 8-miles or more), tennis and golf, to name a few!

A scan in June 2021 identified a small sign of recurrence which required Nancy to undergo a second brain surgery. After the surgery Nancy stoically underwent multiple forms of drug therapy, many of which were in various stages of their respective FDA approval. While there were glimmers of hope, the tumor ultimately became more and more aggressive. No matter how hard Nancy was willing to fight, her life was cut short in July 2022 at the young age of 54.

She was a daughter, wife, mom, sister, aunt, friend and so much more. With all of her cherished roles, she was incredibly passionate in each. Her will to “live, love and laugh” kept her in the fight against brain cancer. But there is more we must do…the fight is not over, we are committed to making a difference for others.

The NEPM Foundation exists to honor her spirit and fight, but most importantly to help others achieve better outcomes and to support families as they work towards recovery.

Supporting Families

As we have learned through Nancy’s journey, brain cancer has a huge impact on the patient and the entire family unit. Critical for families and caregivers is the support for the entire unit by providing access to information and resources. This type of help and information sharing is necessary as patients and those caring for them travel this difficult road.

Funding Research

During Nancy’s recurrence she participated in several late stage treatment alternatives. With your help, we can continue to enable scientific communities in their research to further drive towards a cure. The Foundation plans to engage Nancy’s key health care providers to identify the more promising initiatives that require further support.
